Hi everyone
Skateboarding has been placed under the Cycling Federation (UCI) to make way
for the Olympics. BMX is already an Olympic sport. The IOC may still have to
drop 1 more sport to accommodate skateboarding but the path has been cleared.
What will this mean for most skaters? More skateparks for sure, less tickets
and soe people will make off with a lot of IOC $.
For skaters who want to compete this is good news , for lifestyle skaters it
should not affect them. Skateboarding will carry on with underground events
and competitions as well as organized events that will lead to the Olympics.
