[Newsletter] Go Skateboarding Day

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all took some time yesterday to have fun and go skateboarding.  
There were events planned all over the world and we went to one in Venice  
(because that is where we live and work). My team rider
 Hanna Zanzi (14) took 1st place in the street event. She competed  against 
the guys including pro skaters and won $1000!!!!
Later we went to an Element screening and contest at Nine Star and another  
one of my team rider won that event, 15 year old Victor Garibay.
Contests are fun to watch and fun for some kids to enter but it is  important 
to remember that skateboarding is fun and should remain fun.
With Olympic skateboarding on the horizon there is a chance that the fun  
could leave skateboarding and it could become another contest driven sport.  We 
hope that never happens and that skateboarding always remains a lifestyle  
sport with an emphasis on fun.
