Olympic Update
 
So far there is no news from the IOC an allowing skateboarding or BMX into  
the Olympics. Gary Ream and Mike Jacki (Camp Woodward) are handling all the  
negotiations and contacts and they have both said "no news" .
I couldn't even make an educated guess at this point so we will just have  to 
wait and see.
One thing I am hoping for is an age restriction of 18 to be eligible for  the 
Olympics - 16 at the very least.
Turning a sport into a little kid sport does not hold up in the long run.  It 
may fill kid camps with business but it has the potential to ruin a child's  
childhood, turn the parents into parasites who dream of getting rich off their 
 kids and quite frankly kill the sport as a lifestyle.
Gymnastics is a good example of what can happen if 12 year olds become  
professional athletes.
