Finally!!! Venice issued a press release that they will start construction  
on the skatepark in Oct 2008. We have been working on this park for 12 years.  
Gerri Lewis VSA has really stayed on top of all the political issues and made  
every meeting. 
 
The City of Torrance is looking to build a new skate park as is the City of  
Sebastapol.
Our ramp was refurbished by Boost Mobile, Skatelite and Rockcorps!! many  
thanks to them for their help.

Other news, the city of Los Angeles is switching to mostly unstaffed  
skateparks due to budget cuts. This will remove most of their liability so that  is a 
good thing.
