Hi
Yesterday was the 3rd Annual "Debris by the Sea" contest in Venice - hosted  
by the VSA and we were one of the sponsors. It was a blast as usual and one  
of my team riders, Kevin White took first place in the advanced  division. Geri 
Lewis knows how to throw a fun event for the kids! Lots of  young skaters 
entered and a lot of the pros showed up to help judge and just  hang out. Props 
to Bennet Harada, Jesse Martinez, Tonan, Tuma, Kevin Lewis and  Skip and 
everyone else who pitched in the help. The highlite of the event  was an old car, 
all tagged up with a rail welded to the trunk. It turned  out to be the hot 
ticket for tricks.
 
Many thanks to Jim Barnum, Spectrum Skateparks for the shou tout in Juice  
Magazine. Jim is an amazing designer / builder of skateparks up in Canada. He  
was very pro active in helping us develop construction standards and in keeping 
 parks in Canada free and unstaffed. If you are a skater you might know some 
of  his work: Hastings, Sculptoid Plaza, Squamish, Burnaby, Calgary, the 
Peanut Bowl  and many more. Props to Juice Magazine - one of the few skate mags to 
pay  respects to the guys who get out there and design and build the parks you 
love  to ride.
