Hi Everyone
This Sat June 21st is International Go Skateboarding Day. There are  
thousands of events planned for that day and evening all over the world. the  idea is 
to raise awareness about skateboarding and skateboaders needs  (skateparks, 
decriminalize). Hope you are doing something to recognize  skateboarding in your 
town!
Locally we will be raising awareness with Planet  Maple, Stoked Mentoring, 
Zex Sports and Clyde Singleton  will host some events at Venice Beach in the 
afternoon.

Team Rider news:
Our very own PJ Harris aka BLEED is an up and coming young  hip hop artist 
who recently played the Celebrity Center in Hollywood. Expect to  start hearing 
a lot more from PJ. His music is not only good but he can do  a PG set as 
well. That was a stretch for him but he has it down now. PJ  is on flow with 
Element.
Victor Garibay has joined the SMA team and will be going  on tour with them 
in Aug. Bennett Harada is already an  SMA team rider. If you saw the Lords of 
Dogtown or Dog Town and  the Z Boys you will remember Skip Englomb - he owns 
SMA (Santa  Monica Airlines) but in the docs he was noted for putting together 
the Z-boys  and owning the surf shop they all rode for in Dogtown. 
Jose Garcia has a date with "the Couch" on Fuel  TV and Victor has been out 
on Fuel 2x already!
Evan Wasser has 2 new commercials out and he turned  9!
Andres Caro is riding for Sk8 Mafia and  JSLV (blog.jslvcorp.com)
SPA team riders Herbert, Victor, Sleepy & Louis  are all teaching 
skateboarding at Los Angeles inner city schools! That is  another first for skateboarding 
and SPA!
 
SPA Mini RAMP
Many Thanks to Boost Mobile, Rockcorps, Skatelite and the  X Games for coming 
together to fix and refurbish our Mini Ramp  in Venice!! Today is the big  
day for finishing everything and opening. 
The rebuild was done by industry secret Brent Kronmueller  (Steve Berra & 
eric Kostens parks, DC park, Audio park)
